Privacy notice
This notice covers the orbelle.net website. It explains what we collect when you register interest, why, and how to have it changed or deleted. Contact us at info@orbelle.net.
What we collect
Only what you type into the Register interest form:
- your name, organisation and work email address;
- what you’re interested in and your team size;
- anything you write in the message box.
We also record the date and time you sent it and the country it came from, which our hosting provider supplies. To stop the form being misused, the website keeps a count of entries sent from each network address for one hour, then discards it.
Why we collect it
To reply to you: to arrange a demonstration or an evaluation licence, answer your questions, or tell you when the hosted edition opens if you asked about it. We don’t sell your details, add you to marketing lists you didn’t ask for, or use them for anything else.
Who handles it
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Form entries are stored in Cloudflare’s storage and a copy is emailed to us through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may store and process data outside Australia. Cloudflare also processes technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website.
Cookies and tracking
The website has no advertising and no tracking across other websites, and its pages load nothing from other websites. Cloudflare, which hosts it, checks visits for automated traffic and keeps statistics of visits, such as the pages viewed and the country a visit came from, which we see only as totals. To tell people from automated traffic, Cloudflare may set a security cookie; it isn’t used to identify you. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is kept in your own browser only.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while we’re in contact about your enquiry, and delete them within 12 months of our last contact, or sooner if you ask.
Your choices
Email info@orbelle.net to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
The Orbelle app
This notice is about the website. The Orbelle app keeps your project data where your organisation chooses (on each computer, in your own database, in your own SharePoint site or on Orbelle Server on your own network) and doesn’t send it to us.
When it checks for updates, the app downloads Orbelle’s update information and the signed list of cancelled licence keys. These are downloads only: they send no project data, no licence key and nothing about who uses Orbelle or where. Orbelle Offline makes no such checks. The security overview describes everything the app connects to.
